This annual 8-month-long program is centered around the iconic Haystack Rock, a geologic phenomenon that throngs of visitors photograph every year. Local volunteers, armed with information and printed resources hand out at the beach ready to educate visitors on the importance of Haystack Rock.

The Cannon Beach community celebrates the season of light and giving with Haystack Holidays. Comprised of a series of events, including local shopping events, festive theater performances, appearances by Santa and a holiday concert. In addition, local business and homeowners deck their halls and compete in the Cannon Beach in Lights contest.
